Capturing Memories

We are Brad & Robyn partners in both business and life. Brad is without a doubt my best friend and favourite person. He's also a fantastic daddy to our two cherubs and the business side of Nook photography. We have been photographing weddings now for over six years and are incredibly grateful that we get to do this and to do it together.

Brad

Brad is super fun, creative & always full of energy. Not only is he fantastic at capturing the candid moments and seeking out the fun, he’s brilliant at directing and rallying up the wedding party for the large group shots all whilst becoming best friends with Nanna and Grampa in the process. Brad is often the one you’ll liaise with initially, the one who sorts out the details, the nitty gritty, as honestly he's just much better at the paperwork than me!

Brads favourite part of capturing weddings is vibing off all the happiness and positive energy. He also loves being able to capture and preserve memories (he’s definitely a romantic, I’ve seen him get leaky eyes at more than one ceremony) With Brad you’re guaranteed he’ll turn up on your day brimming with excitement, enthusiasm and a big smile.

Robyn

I'm Robyn, the other half of Nook Photography and I'm an advocate for all things creative. I love being outdoors especially by the sea. Walking barefoot, the smell of a farmyard, smiley people and the changing of seasons.

There are so many reasons I love photography but the most poignant being that life is full of beautiful, fleeting moments, not just on momentous occasions but in every day living. Our memory only allows us to hold on to a fraction of those and so many days, so many memories would be lost to time, yet a photo can take you right back to that feeling.

Like Brad, I also started out as a school photographer and that is how our love story began. I love capturing warm embraces, uncontrollable laughter, all the smiles and every other honest emotion.

I love weddings for much the same reasons as Brad, I’ve always been a dreamer and a romantic. I value love, genuine connections and strong relationships in life above all else. Weddings are one day with a gathering of your absolute favourites coming together to celebrate your love which we then get to witness and document, what a job!

When we photograph a wedding we want to tell the whole story, we want you to experience all the emotions you felt on the day, relive those feelings and delight in the moments unseen, so we strive to document as much as possible.
